Fancy a Kit Kat? Need a break from Snickers? Whether you have a sweet tooth or not, it’s often difficult to say no to a piece of chocolate.
You may be surprised to find out that your favorite chocolate is also beloved by many others in your state.
With this in mind, we made it our mission to research the data for the most popular chocolate bars found in each state of America. Perfect for finding the best candy for Halloween!

Although, one thing to remember is that a candy bar is very different from the broader definition of candy.
A chocolate bar is typically something that is larger and can be held in your fingers, rather than a bag filled with candies in a bag.
Therefore, some favorite candies such as Sour Patch Kids, M&M’s, and Skittles, unfortunately, weren’t able to make the list.
How We Determined The Most Popular Chocolate Bar For Each State
To help us determine the most popular chocolate bar in each state, we looked at the data collected in 2019 from CandyStore.com.
The data demonstrated the chocolate bar sales over the years to determine the best chocolate bars. While the top candies in some states aren’t always chocolate bars, most states have them at least in the top three.
From this data, we chose the best chocolate bars.
In addition to this, we looked at Google Trends to help determine the most popular chocolate bars per state, as some data from CandyStore.com did not include candy bars.
Therefore, on Google Trends we were able to find the most popular chocolate bars based on popular search terms used in a specific state.
Now that you have understood this, it’s time to see which chocolate bars are most popular in your specific state. Who knows, you may just be surprised by the results!
